Ukravtodor plans to complete a bridge in Zaporizhzhia in 2 years
Total cost of the project amounts to 11,8 bln UAH

Ukravtodor plans to complete the construction of the bridge in Zaporizhzhia and put it into operation in two years.

CFTS correspondent reports that it was said by the head of Ukravtodor Alexandr Kubrakov during a press conference.

“Our deadline is two years. In two years, it is planned to complete the construction of the project and put it into operation,” he said.

According to Kubrakov, as late as this year it will take about 5 billion UAH in order to complete the construction within two years. “If we see that the pace of construction suits us, we will be able to employ resources from our funding source. We have planned 35 billion UAH for a year, and we have not allocated them yet, we will be able to attract money from this source,” Kubrakov added.

The total project cost is 11,8 billion UAH. For 2020, it is planned to allocate 2,7 billion UAH.

It should be noted that according to the construction plan, the bridge is a of 9,1 thousand meters length highway which connects the right-bank part of the city with the central left-bank part and the main northern industrial zone through both branches of the river Dnipro and Khortytsa island. The highway consists of six transport junctions comprising 27 artificial structures, including two extra-class bridges with separate structures for each driving direction.

Earlier, the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine granted the Highway Service in Zaporizhzhia Region permission to build a highway through the Dnipro River in the city of Zaporizhzhia.

It is to be recalled that, CFTS reported that Ukravtodor and Turkish company Onur Taahhut signed a contract for the construction of the bridge in Zaporizhzhia. The corresponding document was signed by the head of Ukravtodor Alexandr Kubrakov and representatives of Onur Taahhut.
