The machine manufacturing company Corum Group (DTEK) is going to supply 40 mine carts for iron ore transportation to Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant (KZHZRK) by September 2020.

According to the Corum press service on Facebook, Corum Druzhkivsky engineering plant has already produced the first batch (20 units) of VG4.5 trolleys with a track width of 750 mm, which will be used to transport iron ore with a bulk density of up to 4, 5 t / m3, which is 1.5 tons denser than in the standard version, so a more rigid design of the trolley has been developed.

The second batch (20 units) is planned to be shipped to the customer by the end of August. The cost of the order is not disclosed.

"VG4.5 is structurally the most powerful ore mine cart, capable of transporting 13.5 tons of iron ore at a time," the press service said.

Corum Group is a part of the energy company DTEK Energo and is the largest manufacturer of mining equipment in Ukraine.

The company's key customers are the 14 largest mining holdings, whose assets include 150 mines and quarries.

Kryvyi Rih Iron Ore Plant specializes in underground iron ore mining. It mainly sells products to the Mariupol Ilyich Metallurgical Plant (Donetsk region). KZRK is currently managed by the Metinvest group and the Privat group.
